The back story on the name ARC 23
Aaron Rosen was a ski instructor for many years and worked at Northstar-at-Tahoe for 15 years. When he left the ski industry, he went into insurance. It took him a few years to open his own agency and finally accomplished it in 2017.
He tried several names with the Department of Insurance and none of them were approved because they closely resembled other existing insurance agencies. Aaron and his wife and were having a conversation, trying to come up with a brand new name. She asked him what do you love about skiing? He said he loves arcing turns. She then asked what is his favorite chair lift? He said, Chair 23 at Mammoth. That is how they came up with the name Arc 23.
While ARC also dubs for Aaron Rosen Company, the word Arc is truly for arcing turns. The two arcs in the design are the lines left from carving a ski turn. It is the purest form of a high performance ski turn and the fastest way through a race course. Aaron loves skiing, arcing turns and Chair 23 at Mammoth. That is the true story on how the name Arc 23 was created.
